Ahmad Antar has been involved in Special Olympics Lebanon for the past 10 years. Doctors told his parents that he wouldn’t live very long, now he is 25 years old and besides sports, he also has a passion for writing, technology, and photography.
Ahmad published a book, which was a collection of his poems. He published it with help of his parents and got good feedback from people saying they got inspired by his creativity and courage. Besides writing, Ahmad is studying telephone maintenance and photography, where he likes to take pictures of nature, animals, and people. For Antar, photography is a beautiful way to capture the beauty and diversity of life.
One memorable experience he had was attending SOMENA Athlete Leadership Congress in Abu Dhabi, having the opportunity to meet athlete leaders from diverse backgrounds. They shared their stories, learned from each other, and built lasting friendships. For Ahmad opportunities like this are a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion and empowerment.
