"Speechless" Resources

"Speechless" is the powerful public service announcement unveiled in June of 2012. The spot focuses on athlete Susie Doyens. Born with Down syndrome, Doyens remained practically mute for most of her childhood due to social pressure and anxiety. In “Speechless,” she literally shatters those fears and attributes her transformation to the confidence gained through Special Olympics.

The SONA Region is leading an effort to celebrate Susie’s story and amplify her “voice” by executing a multi-channel awareness campaign, centered on the “Speechless” television PSA, using her story to articulate the refreshed Special Olympics brand essence: “revealing the champion in each of us."

Defying Expectations

Georgie is emerging as the only bona fide athlete in the Seigenthaler-Hayes family. There is no sport he won’t try, no athletic endeavor he’s won’t pursue. No fear. No trembling. Just do it. That’s how George rolls.
