The NY Football Giants Snow Bowl is an official 6-on-6 flag football tournament with light blocking, played over three days. Teams are allowed up to 15 players; all must be 18 years of age or older to participate. All proceeds collected by the flag football teams benefit Special Olympics New Jersey athletes and help foster the Special Olympics mission.

State Floor Hockey Tournament

In March of each year, Special Olympics Pennsylvania welcomes more than 300 athletes and 100 coaches to Wingate, PA to face off in some fast-paced competition during the State Floor Hockey Tournament. This two day competition in team and individual skills floor hockey is normally held the first or second weekend of March. Team competition offers preliminary, pool play and final rounds. Individual skills have preliminary and final rounds. Spectators are welcome to visit any of the competition venues and cheer on the athletes.

Join the Best Buddies Friends Choir and Just Duet, Soul2Soul, The Miami Misfitz, and the MU TrebleMakers for our annual "A Capella Awareness Concert." BBFC has worked over the year to combine forces with the on campus a capella groups. We have collaborated to learn a song with each group which we will be performing together at the concert. The concert is our biggest performance of the year and all of the members are very excited about it! Special Olympics South Africa World Winter Games Send Off

Special Olympics South Africa will be hosting a send off function for our National team at Midrand Conference Centre, north of Johannesburg on the 13th Of March 2017. Our team will be joined by the Honourable Deputy Minister of Sport, Mr Gert Oousthuizen, Special Olympics South Africa Chairperson Dr, Mathews Phosa as well as Special Olympics Ambassadors, Letshego Zulu, Melanie Ramjee, Mark Fish, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Lil red, Diamond Thopola, Rofhiwa Maemu, David Rees and Quinn Brown amongst others. An enthusiastic team of 32 individuals consisting of athletes, coaches and support staff will depart on the 13th to Graz in Austria to attend the games. The SOSA athletes will be competing in 3 different sports codes, floor hockey, figure skating and short speed skating.

SOPA hosts the IUS Bocce Championship at PIAA Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball Championship, Hershey, PA in March. Bocce teams will consists of a proportional number of students with and without intellectual disabilities (one team consists of 6-8 athletes). By providing opportunities for students both with all types of disabilities and without disabilities to participate in sports meaningfully and by engaging other students in the school community, Interscholastic Unified Sports (IUS) helps promote inclusion, acceptance, and respect. The Special Olympics Interscholastic Unified Sports program is supported by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) and the Bureau of Special Education, Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Montana Torch Run Kickoff Conference & Awards Banquet

The Montana Torch Run Kick-Off Conference is designed to orient new officers and departments with the Torch Run program as well as inspire experienced officers already involved. It provides an opportunity for Torch Run volunteers to network, share and learn how to improve their local Torch Run programs, which contribute greatly to increasing public awareness and enhancing the lives of Special Olympics Montana athletes. The Awards Banquet recognizes sponsors and officers who have made a significant contribution to the Montana Torch Run.

We are expecting contingents of athletes and officials from our partner Special Olympics programs of Connecticut, USA, Cayman Islands and St Maarten.
